Mr. Cohen graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in finance and a minor in economics. He spent two years as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith before attending law school at the University of Miami. He began practicing law upon graduating in 1998.
Mr. Cohen has been a member of the Florida Bar since October 1998 and is presently a member of the Florida Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the Dade County and American Bar Associations. He is also active in his community, volunteering as a youth football,basketball, and baseball coach with the YMCA, a soccer coach with AYSO, and serves as an active member of Temple B’Nai Aviv.

Mr. Greenberg is a former Senior Tax Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Office of Chief Counsel. At the IRS attorney Greenberg dealt extensively with the Collection and Audit divisions.
In the Collection Division, Mr. Greenberg represented the Internal Revenue Service in foreclosure, discharge and release of federal tax liens. He also advised the Collection Division on the priority of federal tax liens, including drafting memoranda of law and researching the chain of title.
In the Audit Division, Mr. Greenberg advised and interpreted tax laws for Revenue Agents during audits of individuals and corporations. Further Mr. Greenberg represented the Internal Revenue Service in United States Tax Court and in the United States Bankruptcy Court as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.
For the past three years, Mr. Greenberg has served as a managing member of Cohen & Greenberg, LLC, heading the real estate division of the firm. Mr. Greenberg handles all aspects of commercial and residential real estate closings – from negotiating and drafting contracts to researching chain of title and preparing closing documents. Mr. Greenberg’s unique combination of expertise in real estate law, tax law and probate law enable him to provide a comprehensive legal strategy for any real estate matter.
Education and Associations
Mr. Greenberg graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He received his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Law School, graduating in the top ten percent of his class, then went on to earn a Masters of Tax Law (LLM) from the University of Florida.
Mr. Greenberg has been a member of the Florida Bar since October 1996 and is licensed to practice in the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Greenberg is a member of the Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund and has practiced law for more than ten years.
